Mix It Up

I had a good friend in town this week, it was so fun to catch up, dress up, hit up a sunset happy hour and go hiking, not necessarily in that order... I love May, it's a great month.  Next week is my husband and I's 3rd wedding anniversary, and then his birthday comes at the end of the month.  So many opportunities to celebrate and I'll take any excuse to get prettied up!

For this outfit I embraced light colors and the stripes + leopard duo.  I'm loving the arrow flash tattoo I found, such a unique way to add intrigue to a look.  I almost consider it like a piece of jewelry or accessory.  I just might have to wear one every day now.

Some of my thoughts this week have had to do with the power of words.  The ones said out loud and declared, in particular.  I once heard someone say "be careful what you say, because words create worlds."  And I honestly believe that to be true!  My hormones have been unusually out of balance this month, and I was getting welts/sores on my face, particularly around my jawline/chin and lower cheeks.  I was so sick of it and none of my products were helping, so I finally spoke out loud and told my hormones to balance out.  I pretty much talked to them like they were a person.  To my shock, the next day the swelling was down and the sensitive cysts started healing.  It's almost a week later and my skin is completely clear!  I'm so thankful.  You should try it some time, telling your body to heal and come into alignment with the way it is meant to be.  I believe it works and that we can powerfully speak to not only our bodies but to situations in our lives as well, declaring positive change to our environment!  There is so much power in your words.

Well I'm off to get ready for work so maybe I'll have extra time to watch an episode of Once Upon A Time (I'm addicted).  Have a wonderful week!
