Hey everyone!
Hope you're having a good week. I've been feeling a little down and under the weather, not full of fun things to talk about or many words to say.
What I wear every day completely depends on how I'm feeling. I know this probably sounds ridiculous but I'll try on 3 or 4 outfits sometimes to figure out which one "feels" right that day, because if it doesn't reflect my current mood the discrepancy throws me off. For this outfit I was really feeling the color grey with a red lip, I love that combination! The denim skirt and cutout booties just felt like an interesting pairing to go with my under the weather, raw mood.
On days when I'm not feeling my best, I've had to remind myself that even if I don't feel amazing, I'm still valuable to the people around me and that they need what I have to offer. When I simply show up and stay present and engaged in the moment, it actually doesn't matter how I feel, because I find that my presence still changes the atmosphere in a room even if I don't feel like I'm thriving that day. When I bring just who I am and am ok with that I've noticed that it brings creativity, clarity, ideas, order and organization wherever I go. Have you ever paid attention to what you bring into a room? What effect do you naturally have, even if you aren't saying a word, when you are in any normal situation? You'll notice trends of maybe how everyone gets more relaxed and feels safer when a certain individual enters a room. Or maybe when a different manager comes in for their shift at work you feel like it's a breath of fresh air. Pay attention to these things and you'll figure out what atmosphere you carry when you bring yourself into any given situation. And remember this especially on the days you don't feel at your best!
